Rising from the plains, smith rock state park is a wonder to behold. The towering spires and pinnacles draw climbers from around the world. The curve of the river that surrounds this natural wonder is beautiful as it flows silently through the landscape. There were wildfires raging in the area which brought a smoke layer floating toward me. I loved how the setting sun lit the bottom of the clouds as Smith Rock fell into night.
